I’ve been essentially home alone since Monday, when Brian departed for Rochester. He had to move back to keep tabs on the business he’s trying to create. Troy’s room sits empty now, but if you know some nice homeless people who would like to sleep in the corner for a month, let me know. It’s lonely in the house now, but my research work is keeping me pretty busy. Of the two projects I am working on for Prof. Jenik, one is fun and the other is impossible. Yikes. Predictably, I’ve been procrastinating on the hard one while gleefully researching and coding the fun one.
I’ll be leaving for Vegas with Kimiko and her family early Sunday morning. If anyone wants me to play a round of roulette for them, let me know. Cash up front, bozos.
Mazer has finally booked a flight to and from San Diego, woo! We’re going to stomp around the Comic Con (world’s largest!) and do other fun SD things. I’m excited.

Golly my sleep schedule sucks.
I came home from a pleasant 4th—dinner and fireworks with Kimiko—and passed out sideways on my bed until around 3:30am. I got up and did the usual bed routine things like brushing my teeth and masturbating to pictures of Mazer (that I took while he was asleep) and then tried to get back to bed. I was hoping to get a few more hours in before waking up at 9:30 to call Prof. Jenik about the research work we were supposed to begin today, but I think she might side with the Federal Government on this one and blow off work. Of course, looking at the time stamp of this entry, you will immediately deduce that sleep has eluded me. I imagine sleep will hit me like a freight train around noon, and that I’ll sleep until 7pm and be unable to catch any shut eye all night. Awesome!
Lame.
It’s worth mentioning that July 4th marked nine months with Kimiko. That’s a lot of months! We all know how I feel about patriotism and the nation in general, so I told myself the fireworks were for the anniversary. Aw.
Goddamn, it looks like the rest of the summer is going to be crazy busy. July 18-20 I’ll be in Vegas, the last week of July Mazer is coming to San Diego and we’re all going to go ape shit at the Comic Con, then at the end of August I’m going to make the obligatory trip home to NorCal and try to hit Seattle to visit Troy at the same time. Additionally, Brian’s friends from RIT are thinking of coming out to visit around the same time, so we might have a scheduling disaster on our hands.
I am tired.
